About
Meet Marty Gribble
Action Marine NC is a one-owner boat repair shop in Ocean Isle Beach. Factory certified, over 30 years of experience, and a reputation built one honest repair at a time.
The shop
Small shop. Straight answers.
Look for the Action Marine sign on Longwood Road NW. That’s where Marty works on outboards, sterndrives, diesels, wiring, electronics and trailers. He also helps people buy and sell boats.
There’s no service desk and no handoff to a tech you’ll never meet. When you call, you talk to the person who will diagnose your boat. When it’s done, he tells you what he found and what he did.
Customers notice. Reviews call him knowledgeable, honest and reasonable on pricing, and more than one mentions being back on the water sooner than expected. One customer suggests bringing dog treats: there are friendly critters waiting to greet you.

He fishes these waters too
Marty’s Facebook page is as much fishing as fixing. He runs the same waters his customers do, so he knows what salt, heat and a long season do to a boat.
